No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Bourges (2-1) beat 9th ranked Roche (1-3) in La Roche 77-62 on Saturday. Bourges forced 22 Roche turnovers. It was a very good performance for Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Marine Johannes (174-95) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Bourges' coach Olivier Lafargue used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-90, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Two Points) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Soana Lucet (185-87, college: Arizona, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points in the effort for Roche. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Villeneuve. Loser Roche dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Bourges will face bottom-ranked Mondeville (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roche will play against the league's leader Lattes Montpellier and hope to win that game.
