Regular Season Round 4: Brod na Savi - Mursa 53-76

Mursa can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Slavonski Brod, where they outplayed Brod na Savi (0-4) 76-53 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mursa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Brod na Savi's 24. Mursa forced 22 Brod na Savi turnovers and outrebounded them 53-30 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Petra Simunic (-93) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 7 rebounds and Ksenija Sarlija (-93) who added 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Edita Poljac (172-2) responded with 10 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and Monika Buconjic (174-1) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mursa (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Ragusa and Podravac. It was Brod na Savi's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Pozega. Mursa will meet at home league's second-placed Pula C.Tours in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Brod na Savi will play against ZKK Medvescak (#3) in Zagreb and hopes to get finally their first victory.
