Regular Season Round 6: Paterna - Valencia II 76-89

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Valencia-2 and one of their biggest challengers Paterna had identical 2-1 record. But Paterna was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Valencia 89-76 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group E-A. The game without a history. Valencia-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for Jon Galarza (193-97) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Croatian Emil Savic (200-98, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Guard Victor Arnau (184-91) replied with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Italian Nicolas Boscafiori (201-92) added 19 points in the effort for Paterna. Four Paterna players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia-2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group E-A, which they share with Benicarlo. Loser Paterna dropped to the fourth position with two games lost.
