Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Rivas (2-4) lost at home to fourth ranked Alcobendas (5-1) 75-69 on Saturday. It was a good game for power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: Cent.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) contributed with 6 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Alcobendas players scored in double figures. Guard Miguel Zamora (189-93) replied with 16 points and point guard Guillermo Ordas (183-92) added 11 points in the effort for Rivas. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alcobendas moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Real Madrid II. Loser Rivas keeps the ninth position with four games lost.
