Regular Season Round 6: Arenys - JAC Sants 75-59

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Arenys (4-2) beat one of their biggest challengers JAC Sants (4-2) in Arenys del Mar 75-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 28-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Arenys dominated on the defensive end, holding JAC Sants to just 6 points in fourth quarter. It was a great shooting night for Arenys especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a good game for Bahamas power forward Christopher Turnquest (204-83, college: Miles CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Artur Grau (182-89) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Marc Ruf (203-97) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard David Fernandez (186-97) added 10 points and 4 steals in the effort for JAC Sants. JAC Sants' coach Albert Gomez rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Arenys have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with JAC Sants and Sant Adria.
