Regular Season Round 6: Quintanar - Real Madrid II 76-91

We should not miss a road victory of fourth ranked Real Madrid II (5-1) over one of their biggest challengers Quintanar (4-2) 91-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Quintanar. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. Real Madrid II shot 66.7 percent from the field and made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Real Madrid II outrebounded Quintanar 34-18 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Mario Nakic (199-1) who scored 23 points (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). Forward Usman Garuba (202-2) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Real Madrid II's coach Mariano De Pablos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Khion Sankey (196-92, college: Lipscomb) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian point guard Samy Mohamed (183, college: UPEI) added 18 points respectively. Four Quintanar players scored in double figures. Real Madrid II have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Alcobendas. Quintanar at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost.
