There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Cornella (2-4) beat at home bottom-ranked Salou (2-4) 84-78 on Saturday. Cornella made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for point guard Nestor Zamora (180-84) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 6 assists. Guard Xavi Guirao (190-87) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American Everrett Pleasant (198-92, college: Tex.A&M-Comm.) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Eloi Galofre (195-87) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Salou. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cornella moved-up to ninth place in Group C-A, which they share with Salou and Esparreguera.
