Lekdetec.nl (2-1) recorded its first loss in Bemmel on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by leader Grasshoppers (2-0) 73-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lekdetec.nl. It was a key game for the second position in the league. They outrebounded Lekdetec.nl 53-38 including 20 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Noortje Driessen (178-99) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Ingrid Van-der-Plas (178-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Grasshoppers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international forward Lisanne de Jonge (180-95, college: St.Joseph's) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Cornelia Fondren (173-93, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Grasshoppers and five Lekdetec.nl players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Lekdetec.nl at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Loon Lions. Grasshoppers are looking forward to face league's leader Binnenland in Rotterdam in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lekdetec.nl will play against Keijser Capital and is hoping to win this game.
