Regular Season Round 10: Shinshu BW - Toyotsu FE 83-65

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagano. Top-ranked Shinshu BW faced their biggest opponent Toyotsu FE. Host Shinshu BW (10-0) defeated guests from Nagoya (7-3) 83-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Shinshu BW forced 19 Toyotsu FE turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shinshu BW made 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) chipped in 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. Center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shinshu BW have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Loser Toyotsu FE keeps the second place with three games lost. Shinshu BW will face again league's second-placed Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
