Regular Season Round 6: Nysa - Katy Wroclawskie 95-73

There was a surprise result in Otmuchow where thirteenth ranked Nysa (1-5) smashed higher ranked Katy Wroclawskie (3-3) 95-73 on Saturday. Nysa shot 63.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 68.0 percentage. Nysa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Nysa made 7 blocks. Katy Wroclawskie was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Mateusz Kasinski (205-87) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Tomasz Madziar (195-92) chipped in 23 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Wojciech Suprun (203-82) with 12 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nysa left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in Group D. Loser Katy Wroclawskie dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Nysa will face higher ranked Sudety (#6) in Jelenia Gora in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
