This time Ironi Nahariya used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Nes Ziyona 85-76 on Saturday night. Ironi Nahariya looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Myke Henry (198-92, college: De Paul) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American swingman Chris Dowe (191-91, college: Bellarmine) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Ironi Nahariya (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon and Hapoel B/S. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with three games lost. Ironi Nahariya will face higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#12) and hope to win that game.
