The biggest surprise took place in Zamora where host Zamorano (3-2) beat league's leader Zornotza (3-2) 95-84 on Saturday evening. Zamorano made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Zornotza helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Christopher Iza (206-95) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Five Zamorano players scored in double figures. American-Liberian point guard Saah Nimley (173-93, college: Charleston So., agency: Blacktop Management) produced 28 points and 5 assists and Canadian-Haitian forward Kevin Bercy (201-94, college: St.Francis X.) added 26 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zamorano moved-up to third place in Silver. Zornotza will play next round against Gijon trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Zamorano will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Fontedoso Carrefour in Avila.
