Regular Season Round 10: Tokyo HT - Sendai 89ers 64-65

Fifth-ranked Tokyo HT (2-8) made lots of trouble for first ranked Sendai 89ers (8-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Sendai managed to secure only one-point victory 65-64. However their fans expected much easier game. American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Tyler Harris (208-93, college: Auburn) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and guard Hiroya Ogane (180-89) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Sendai 89ers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record, which they share with Kumamoto V. Tokyo HT lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Aomori Watts. Sendai 89ers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo HT will play again at home against the league's leader Sendai 89ers (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
