Regular Season Round 7: Nanterre - Le Mans 98-77

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Le Mans (4-3) against fourteenth ranked JSF Nanterre (3-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Le Mans was crushed by JSF Nanterre in Nanterre 98-77. JSF Nanterre shot 62.1 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. American point guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St., agency: Octagon Europe) fired 23 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Jeremy Senglin (188-95, college: Weber St.) chipped in 23 points. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) produced 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American-FYR Macedonian center Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Chalons-Reims. Defending champion Le Mans dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. JSF Nanterre will meet higher ranked Levallois (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Le Mans will play against SIG Strasbourg and hope to secure a win.
