Regular Season Round 7: Nanterre - Le Mans 72-62

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Le Mans (3-4) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Nanterre (3-4) 72-62 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Aboubakar Jaiteh (195-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points (made all of his eight free throws). Power forward Ismaila Sarr (204-99) helped adding 11 points and 12 rebounds. Nanterre's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Matthieu Gauzin (186-1) responded with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and guard Kenny Baptiste (197-0) scored 12 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nanterre moved-up to tenth place, which they share with ASVEL and Le Mans. Nanterre will face bottom-ranked Levallois (#18) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
