Very important is a road loss of second ranked Navarra (3-2) against eleventh ranked Plasencia (2-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Navarra was defeated by Plasencia in Plasencia 79-64. The best player for the winners was American Duane Morgan (198-93, college: Adelphi) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Jose Medina (185-93) chipped in 17 points. Center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Yago Estevez (204-91) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Plasencia maintains eleventh place in Silver with 2-3 record. Loser Navarra still keeps top position with two games lost. Plasencia will face higher ranked Azpeitia ISB (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
