There was no surprise when 8th ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (1-3) was outleveled by third ranked Cazorla (3-1) in Malaga 83-63 on Saturday. Cazorla forced 20 Unicaja-Andalucia turnovers. It was a good game for American point guard Cody Halvorson (183, college: NW Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with 18 points. Guard Daniel Saunders (196-94, college: Lenoir CC) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Saunders is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Guard Alessandro Scariolo (184-1) replied with 10 points and 4 assists and Senegalese power forward Ablaye Sow (208-99) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Unicaja-Andalucia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cazorla maintains third position in Group D-A with 3-1 record behind leader Lliria, which they share with Coin. Loser Unicaja-Andalucia dropped to the seventh place with three games lost.
