Regular Season Round 5: Akropol - BG Lulea 89-100

Undefeated Akropol (3-1) recorded its first loss in Stockholm. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked BG Lulea (1-1) 100-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Akropol. The game was mostly controlled by BG Lulea. Akropol was better in fourth quarter 29-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Gustav Moberg (189-0) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and Pelle Larsson (189-1) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five BG Lulea players scored in double figures. BG Lulea's coach Fredrik Joulamo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Serbian forward Dragan Damjanovic (203-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and Said-Mohamd Dabourh (-93) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Despite that victory BG Lulea went down to sixth position due to points difference. Akropol at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. BG Lulea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Akropol's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Stockholm Hammarby.
