The game in Gomel was also quite interesting. Tsmoki II (2-2) played at the court of GOCOR-Sozh (0-4). Tsmoki II managed to secure a 7-point victory 74-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-67. Tsmoki II dominated on the defensive end, holding GOCOR-Sozh to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to GOCOR-Sozh's 20. They outrebounded GOCOR-Sozh 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Tsmoki II looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Vadim Tretyak (185-0) who led the winners and scored 14 points. Guard Aleksey Navoyckik (191-1) accounted for 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Tsmoki II's coach Geordiy Kondrusevich used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Timofey Verevkin (185-93) came up with 21 points and point guard Artem Lukyianenko (183-0) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for GOCOR-Sozh in the defeat. Tsmoki II will meet at home Brest (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GOCOR-Sozh will play against Prinemanye (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
