Regular Season Round 6: Iskra Svit - Inter Bratislava 79-88

Very significant was Inter Bratislava's (#2) 88-79 road victory against one of their biggest challengers Iskra Svit. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) notched 13 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and international center Michal Fusek (224-95, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by American forward DeAndre Davis (203-94, college: Alcorn St.) did not help to save the game for Iskra Svit. His fellow American import point guard Andrew Guillory (190-92, college: SE Louisiana) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava (4-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Prievidza. Iskra Svit at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Zilina. Inter Bratislava will play against league's second-placed Prievidza at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iskra Svit will play against Handlova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
