There was a minor upset in Kutno where higher ranked Polfarmex (3-3) was defeated by tenth ranked Gornik (3-3) 77-73 on Saturday. Gornik outrebounded Polfarmex 39-26 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Polfarmex was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds. Marcin Wrobel (200-87) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Michal Marek (208-96) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Bartosz Majewski (190-97) added 12 points respectively. Polfarmex's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gornik moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Polfarmex.
