Regular Season Round 6: Prievidza - Levice 74-67

There was a change at the SBL leadership position after last games. Round 6 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Levice (4-2). They were defeated by fourth ranked Prievidza (4-1) 74-67 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Prievidza outrebounded Levice 47-33 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Delvon Johnson (206-89, college: Arkansas) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Tim Derksen (192-93, college: USF) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international center Boris Bojanovsky (217-93, college: Florida St.) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Slovenian guard Boban Tomic (190-88) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Levice players scored in double figures. Prievidza keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Defending champion Levice dropped to the third place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Inter Bratislava. Levice will play next round against Nova Ves trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Prievidza will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Inter Bratislava on the road.
