Leader Espoo Team delivered the sixth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Peli-Karhut (1-4) 80-76 in Kotka. It looked good early as Peli-Karhut took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Espoo Team took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. American forward Kamilah Jackson (181-92, college: Hawaii) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Delaney Hodgins (184-96, college: E.Washington, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American-Cameroonian center Brittany Starling (183-94, college: USC Upstate, agency: ProDep Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and Noora Jarvikangas (184-94, college: ORU) added 23 points in the effort for Peli-Karhut. Peli-Karhut's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Espoo Team have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Defending champion Peli-Karhut keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Espoo Team will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Peli-Karhut will play on the road against the league's second-placed Forssan Alku (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.
