Regular Season Round 2: Chartres - Reze 81-57

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Reze (1-1) on the court of Chartres on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Chartres 81-57. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Joelly Belleka (163-95) scored 21 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Alice Nayo (189-93) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Pierrette Sylva (183-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Reze players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chartres is looking forward to face Reims (#5) on the road in the next round. Reze will play against Montbrison and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
