There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Martinenc (2-4) outplayed higher ranked Barbera (2-4) in Barcelona 100-62 on Saturday. Martinenc shot 68.4 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was a good game for point guard Pau Mayor (-96) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Marc Sese (190-93) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Martinenc players scored in double figures. Martinenc's coach Hugo Gonzalez felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Senegalese center Mamadou Diagne (208-98, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 11 points and 9 rebounds and center Luis Lopez (205-95) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Barbera. Martinenc moved-up to tenth place in Group C-B, which they share with Barbera and Castelldefels. Barbera lost third consecutive game.
