Regular Season Round 7: ALS Basket - Saint Vallier 72-85

Not a big story in a game in Andrezieux where 7th ranked ALS Basket (3-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Saint Vallier (5-2) 85-72 on Saturday. Saint Vallier forced 21 ALS Basket turnovers. It was a great evening for Senegalese-Spanish center Maodo Nguirane (210-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. Swingman Parfait NJiba (199-89, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 26 points and 5 rebounds. Five Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. At the losing side Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Romain Gregoire (201-91) scored 12 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Saint Vallier. They moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Sorgues BC and Orchies. Loser ALS Basket keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Saint Vallier will face Sorgues BC (#4) on the road in the next round. ALS Basket will play against GET Vosges and hope to win that game.
