Regular Season Round 10: Kagawa FA - Yamagata 65-78

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Takamatsu. Fourth ranked Yamagata faced one of their biggest challengers Kagawa FA. Guests from Yamagata (5-5) defeated host Kagawa FA (2-7) 78-65. Yamagata looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Yamagata players scored in double figures. Yamagata's coach Ryutaro Onodera used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 23 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Yamagata moved-up to third place, which they share with Gunma. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Kanazawa Sam.. Yamagata will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kagawa FA will play again against Yamagata (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
