Eighth-ranked Joventut (2-3) gave a tough game to top-ranked FC Barcelona (6-0) on Sunday. FC Barcelona managed to secure only two-point victory 94-92. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime then Joventut managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was FC Barcelona who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-11. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Joventut's 32 and made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when FC Barcelona made 7 blocks. Joventut was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch.
