Regular Season Round 10: Kyoto Hannar. - Toyota Alvark 79-70

B League round 10 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Toyota Alvark (8-2) against third ranked Kyoto Hannar. (6-4) 79-70 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toyota Alvark. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. It was a great shooting night for Kyoto Hannar. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) contributed with 25 points for the winners. International Yudai Baba (193-95) replied with 17 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: N.Carolina) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Toyota Alvark. Kyoto Hannar. moved-up to second place, which they share with Niigata Albirex. Defending champion Toyota Alvark still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Toyama Grouses who have the same record. Toyota Alvark will play next round against league's leader Ryukyu GK trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kyoto Hannar. will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Fukuoka Rizing on the road.
