Regular Season Round 10: Nagoya DD - Fukuoka Rizing 91-88

Sixth-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (0-10) was very close to win a game against second ranked Diamond Dolphins (8-2) in Nagoya. Diamond Dolphins managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected much easier game. Diamond Dolphins made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) fired 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) for the winners. International guard Shuto Ando (189-94) chipped in 20 points. Diamond Dolphins' coach Shingo Kajiyama allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas) produced 31 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) and British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: W.Kentucky) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Diamond Dolphins have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing still closes the standings with ten games lost. Diamond Dolphins' next round opponent will be Akita Happinets (#4) on the road. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Kyoto Hannar. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
