Regular Season Round 11: Gunma - Cyberdyne IR 78-61

An interesting game for Gunma (6-5) which hosted in Gunma second-ranked Cyberdyne IR (7-4). Third ranked Gunma had an easy win 78-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cyberdyne IR. Gunma made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Cyberdyne IR 42-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Gunma looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Gunma players scored in double figures. Swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) answered with 10 points and 6 assists and guard Yuji Takahashi (183-91) added 9 points in the effort for Cyberdyne IR. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gunma maintains third place with 6-5 record having just two points less than leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Shimane SM. Loser Cyberdyne IR keeps the second position with four games lost. Gunma will face league's leader Dragonflies in Hiroshima in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cyberdyne IR will play at home against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
