Regular Season Round 11: Bambitious Nara - Ehime OV 70-85

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Orange Vikings (4-7) beat on the road 6th ranked Bambitious Nara (1-9) 85-70 on Sunday. They outrebounded Bambitious Nara 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Orange Vikings looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Power forward Cory Johnson (202-88, college: Valparaiso) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Orange Vikings' coach Richard Glesmann used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) answered with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists and forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bambitious Nara. Orange Vikings maintains fourth place with 4-7 record, which they share with Fukushima. Bambitious Nara lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Orange Vikings will face league's leader Sendai 89ers at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bambitious Nara will play against Aomori Watts (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
