Regular Season Round 11: Tokyo HT - Sendai 89ers 75-74

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sendai 89ers (8-3) on the court of fifth ranked Tokyo HT on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Tokyo HT 75-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sendai 89ers. American players dominated the game. Swingman LeBryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) saved the victory by scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Forward Tyler Harris (208-93, college: Auburn) answered with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists and center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) added 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sendai 89ers. Tokyo HT (3-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Aomori Watts. Sendai 89ers at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Tokyo HT is looking forward to face league's second-placed Toyotsu FE in Nagoya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sendai 89ers will play on the road against Orange Vikings in Matsuyama and are hoping to win this game.
