Regular Season Round 4: Vestri - Sindri 96-74

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Sindri (1-4) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Vestri (4-1) 96-74. Vestri dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Sindri's 46. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Sindri's players. The winners were led by American forward Andre Hughes (203-94, college: E.New Mexico) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Montenegrin forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) supported him with 23 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Vestri's coach Ingvi Gunnlaugsson felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points by American guard Barrington Stevens-III (183-92, college: S.Alabama) did not help to save the game for Sindri. Serbian Ivan Kekic (-97) added 12 points for lost side. Four Sindri players scored in double figures. Vestri have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Sindri lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Vestri will have a break next round. Sindri will play against Fjolnir (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
