Regular Season Round 4: Mataro Parc - Barca CBS 76-62

Undefeated Barca CBS (2-1) recorded its first loss on the court of sixth ranked Mataro Parc. Visitors were defeated by Mataro Parc 76-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Barca CBS. Mataro Parc made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Barca CBS was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Judy Jones (175-90, college: Grand Canyon) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Olga Ruano (191-88) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Mataro Parc players scored in double figures. Aixa Wone (184-0) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Maria Pendande added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Barca CBS. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mataro Parc (3-1) moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Rioja. Barca CBS at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. They share it with Aros Patatas. Mataro Parc will play against Lima-Horta (#10) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barca CBS will play at home against the league's second-placed Real Celta Vigo (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
