Seventh-ranked Huracanes (0-4) were very close to win a game against second ranked Fuerza Regia (4-2) in Monterrey on Sunday. Fuerza Regia managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-94, college: Towson) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) added 21 points respectively for Huracanes in the defeat. Fuerza Regia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-2 record behind leader Capitanes. Newly promoted Huracanes still closes the standings with four games lost. Fuerza Regia will meet Santos (#5) in the next round. Huracanes will play against Lenadores and hope to get finally their first victory.
