Regular Season Round 5: Jamtland II - KFUM Blackeberg 79-88

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked KFUM Blackeberg (3-2) won against bottom-ranked Jamtland II (0-4) in Ostersund 88-79 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-24. But Jamtland II won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Blackeberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Leonard Cooks (190-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Forward Joacim Edlund (195-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alexander Yemane (200-99) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Adam Johansson (191-0) added 16 points and 6 assists in the effort for Jamtland II. Four Jamtland II players scored in double figures. Jamtland II's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KFUM Blackeberg maintains fourth place with 3-2 record. Loser Jamtland II still closes the standings with four games lost. KFUM Blackeberg will have a break next round. Jamtland II will play on the road against KFUM Uppsala (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
