Regular Season Round 5: A3 Basket - Norrkoping 74-60

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked A3 Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. A3 Basket defeated 4th placed Norrkoping Dolphins in Umea 74-60. The game was mostly controlled by A3 Basket. Norrkoping Dolphins managed to win fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Norrkoping Dolphins 41-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Abigail Asoro (183-93, college: Iowa Western CC) contributed with 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Australian forward Geraldine McCorkell (183-95, college: Idaho) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Shay Burnett (175-96, college: Elon) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Norrkoping Dolphins. A3 Basket (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Alvik Basket. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will play next round against strong Lulea Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. A3 Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
