Regular Season Round 4: Tsmoki-Minsk - Victoria 71-64

Date: October 28, 2018
Bottom-ranked Victoria (0-4) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to top-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (4-0) 71-64 on Sunday evening. Victoria trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 27-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-71 at the end of the game. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 20 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 47-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Forward Katsiaryna Rybalka (182-98) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Center Aliaksandra Shauchenka (190-99) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Yana Iahnovets (169-1) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Victoria's coach Valentina Navoichik rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tsmoki-Minsk have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Olimpia and Gorizont. Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with RGUOR. Tsmoki-Minsk will meet league's second-placed Olimpia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Victoria will play against RGUOR (#7) in Minsk and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
