Regular Season Round 4: Beer Sheva - Holon 70-72
Date: October 28, 2018
Very significant was Hapoel Holon's (#5) just 2-point road victory against one of their biggest challengers Hapoel B/S 72-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Hapoel B/S was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 12-9 charge of Hapoel Holon, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel B/S was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by guard Corey Walden (188-92, college: E.Kentucky) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and TJ Cline (206-94, college: Richmond) supported him with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Even 24 points by guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for Hapoel B/S. Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) added 10 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Hapoel B/S's coach Rami Hadar tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hapoel Holon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Galil Gilboa and Hapoel J-M. Newly promoted Hapoel B/S dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Maccabi Rishon and Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Holon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel B/S will play against Bnei Hasharon (#8) in Hod Hasharon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
