It was a great evening for American forward Nia Coffey (185-95, college: Northwestern, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Colleen Planeta (188-88, college: Point Loma) helped adding 9 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Four Adelaide Lightning players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Nadeen Payne (188-93, agency: LBM Management) with 15 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelaide Lightning will face again Bendigo Spirit (#5) on the road in the next round. Bendigo Spirit will play against Boomers in Melbourne and hope to win that game.
