Very expected game when 10th ranked Burgos (2-4) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Real Madrid (6-0) 90-77 on Sunday. The game without a history. Real Madrid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. International point guard Sergio Llull (190-87) scored 19 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Rudy Fernandez (197-85) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Four Real Madrid players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovenian Vlatko Cancar (201-97, agency: BeoBasket) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Madrid have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with FC Barcelona. Burgos at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. Real Madrid will face Andorra (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Burgos will play against Unicaja Malaga (#4) and hope to win that game.
