Regular Season Round 4: Beijing Ducks - Liaoning FL 98-104

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Flying Leopards and 8th ranked Beijing Ducks had identical 2-1 record. But Beijing Ducks were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Yingkou 104-98 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Beijing Ducks' 44. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Ailun Guo (192-93) contributed with 29 points and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) replied with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Beijing Ducks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (3-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Beijing Ducks dropped to the tenth position with two games lost. Flying Leopards will face Fly Dragons (#19) in Beijing in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Golden Bulls (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
