Regular Season Round 11: Kagawa FA - Yamagata 88-82

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Kagawa FA (3-7) defeated 4th placed Yamagata (5-6) in Takamatsu 88-82 on Sunday. They outrebounded Yamagata 35-19 including 25 on the defensive glass. Kagawa FA shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Hiroki Furuhashi (185-92) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Yamagata. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kagawa FA maintains fifth place with 3-7 record. Loser Yamagata keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Kagawa FA will face Kanazawa Sam. (#5) in Ishikawa in the next round. Yamagata will play on the road against the league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
