Regular Season Round 7: Bourg - Levallois 78-80

Very significant was Levallois' (#4) just 2-point road victory against 3rd placed JL Bourg 80-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JL Bourg. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 7 assists. Beninese power forward Mouphtaou Yarou (204-90, college: Villanova) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import LaMonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: HMS) added 21 points respectively for JL Bourg in the defeat. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Levallois (5-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Dijon and Chalon. JL Bourg at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Levallois will play against JSF Nanterre (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JL Bourg will play against Provence Basket (#17) in Fos-sur-Mer and hopes to get back on the winning track.
