Regular Season Round 5: Ura Basket - BC Nokia 74-85

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked BC Nokia (4-2) beat bottom-ranked Ura Basket (1-5) in Kaarina 85-74 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. Ura Basket managed to win third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Ura Basket's 20. BC Nokia forced 22 Ura Basket turnovers. American power forward Sean OMara (208-95, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five BC Nokia players scored in double figures. American guard Avery Woodson (188-93, college: Butler) came up with 19 points and the former international point guard Fiifi Aidoo (187-96, college: Grand Canyon) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for Ura Basket in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for BC Nokia. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kauhajoki. Ura Basket lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with five games lost. BC Nokia will meet at home Kouvot (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ura Basket will play against Lapuan Korikobrat and hope to win that game.
