Regular Season Round 7: Koping Stars - Sodertalje 68-81

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Koping Stars (2-6) were defeated at home by fourth ranked Sodertalje Kings (6-1) 81-68. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Koping Stars was better in third quarter 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American Auston Barnes (203-91, college: Bradley) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Martin Pahlmblad (195-86) accounted for 17 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Four Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with 22 points and 6 assists and Niklas Larsson (199-94) added 12 points respectively for Koping Stars in the defeat. Sodertalje Kings keep a position of league leader. Koping Stars lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth place with six games lost. Sodertalje Kings' next round opponent will be Umea (#7) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Koping Stars will play against the league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins and hope to win that game.
