Regular Season Round 5: Xinjiang FT - Guangzhou LL 101-106

The most interesting game of round 5 was a home defeat of 6th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (3-2) to fourth ranked Long-Lions (4-1) 106-101. Long-Lions forced 22 Xinjiang Flying Tige turnovers. Strangely Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Long-Lions 60-38 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Kyle Fogg (190-90, college: Arizona) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Marreese Speights (208-87, college: Florida) chipped in 29 points and 7 rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: IPZ) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and international Abudushalamu Abudurexiti (203-96) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Long-Lions and five Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. Long-Lions have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Liaoning FL and Shanghai S. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Long-Lions is looking forward to face Monkey Kings (#19) in Jiangsu in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play on the road against Leopards (#8) in Shenzhen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
