Regular Season Round 5: Kobrat - Kauhajoki 101-85

The game between second ranked Kauhajoki (4-2) and fifth ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (3-3) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Kauhajoki was defeated by Lapuan Korikobrat in Lapua 85-101. The game was mostly controlled by Lapuan Korikobrat. Kauhajoki managed to win fourth quarter 33-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lapuan Korikobrat dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kauhajoki's 34. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lapuan Korikobrat maintains fifth place with 3-3 record. Defending champion Kauhajoki dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with BC Nokia. Lapuan Korikobrat is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Ura Basket (#11) in Kaarina in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kauhajoki will have a break next round.
