Regular Season Round 5: Brasilia - Bauru 105-113

Date: October 31, 2018
Bottom-ranked Brasilia (0-5) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to twelfth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (2-3) 113-105. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 30-of-38 charity shots (78.9 percent) during the game. Brasilia was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and guard Caue Freitas (192-88) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro Sports) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and Puerto Rican Ricardo Sanchez (212-87, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points respectively for Brasilia in the defeat. Five Paschoalotto/Bauru and four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Brasilia's coach Andre Germano rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Paschoalotto/Bauru moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Joinville and Vasco Da G. Newly promoted Brasilia still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with B.Cearense. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against SKY/Basquete (#13) in Aldeota in the next round. Brasilia will play at home against the league's second-placed Vivo/Franca and will have a slim chance for a victory.
